First Ultrasound
Here is the first baby ultrasound. So it’s legit, we are having a… cartoon character? Seriously, it’s looks like the Peanuts character Woodstock. We shall dub the baby “Woody”. The baby is 6 weeks old here.
Today was a wonderful, terrible… long, long day. Just over a week ago, we discovered we were pregnant. Excitement, shock, awe and anxiety filled us both. Today was our appointment with the lady doc to verify those half a dozen home pregnancy tests.
We had just switched over to a new insurance a couple weeks prior. We didn’t have cards yet. I was given the group number, member id and billing address by the company my employer retains to handle our benefits. A benefits broker if you will.
So we show up to the doc’s office and give them our insurance information. They call our new insurance company. The insurance company tells them we are not in their system. I call the insurance company, nope, not in the system. I figure it’s probably a glitch in our benefit’s broker’s system. But I don’t have their number. I confirm with the new insurance company that as long as my coverage was set to start before today, I can file a claim. What’s it gonna be out of pocket? $450, oof…
